I mainly sent out young players that will be first team players in a couple of years on loan and released Victor Anichebe with £900k has compensation.
Aston Villa signed Valter Birsa from Genoa for £1.5m and Even Hovland from Molde for £3.2m. They sold summer free transfer signing Junior Hoilett to Napoli for £3.3m and young striker Nathan Delfouneso to Bolton Wonderers for £2.1m.
Bolton signed Mathias Wilhjalmsson and Michael Lumb on free transfers as well as Cedric Mongongu from Evian TG for £3.4m.
Chelsea sold young English left back Ryan Bertrand to Wolverhampton Wonderers for £6m.
Liverpool signed Cristian Asnaldi from Rubin for £15.5m.
Manchester City signed Jose Enrique from Liverpool for £13.25, Edin Hazard from Lille for £34.5m and Dorian Bouchet Saint-Etienne £3.7m. They released Michael Johnson.
Manchester United sold Anderson to Fiorentina for £4.2m and Fabio to Juventus for £8.25m.
Swansea signed Alejandro Faurlin from QPR for £6.25m.
West Bromwich Albion signed Martin Olsson from Blackburn Rovers for £6m.
Lyon spent £20m in this window after a quite summer. They signed Madjid Bougherra from Lekwiya for £7m, Yaser Al-Qahtani from Al-Hilal (KSA) for £6.5m and Avine from Bahia for £6.5m.
Juventus spent £10m on Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Genoa.
Rangers sold left back Lee Wallace to Koln for £3m.
Valencia signed Manoel from Atletico Paranaense for £5.75m.
I will be doing a transfer review in relation to final League standings when the current season has finished. I think there could be a few surprising results.

Interesting! Most money spent was from the north-west, except the blue half of mersyside and the red half of Manchester! Do you know who Southampton signed? The computer teams usually spend a lot in the first transfer window and then stop with only 1 or 2 big money signings.

The saints spent 7m after selling Jack Cork for 6.25m and Schniederlin for 2.5m. Mariappa (watford 1.3m), Templeton (hearts 1.3m), mccarthy (wigan 1.9m), morrison (wba 1.6m), shikabala (zamalek). saints are currently 8th with 1point behind 6th, last season (2011/12) finished 7th with 2points from 6th.
you will see where £50m gets you with 7games to go.

decent return on those 2 especiallly since we bought them for pennies!
